I got the Hogan in the mail today. Now I need to get a yellow one.

    David,

It sounds like you had a really great time at WrestleMania and interacting with the wrestlers the days leading up to the big event. What else could a huge wresting fan ask for on their birthday? I think that was a hell of a way to spend it.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

It was really cool. I am not a big birthday celebration person and generally when we do something big its for my wife's birthday. Unfortunately our little Ginger Rogers is having a rough few days so my actual birthday we just stayed home and went to bed early. It was really nice to take two days off of work and only have a few minor issues pop up that were easy to handle. It seems like every time I try and take a mini vacation something weird happens and makes it impossible to get away.

I will say I was like a kid in a candy store on Thursday hanging out with the wrestlers and having drinks and dinner. I remember walking to use the restroom and looking at myself in the mirror and saying OMG this is so cool.

Wrestlemania was great. There were a few matches I really wanted to see and I was so pumped to see Brock get the win over Goldberg. My tickets were every bit as good as I expected and we sat right in front of the primary camera so you can see my wife and I throughout the broadcast in the audience. My brother got the Network to tune in and right away he was texting saying I can see you guys. The only problem with these mega shows is the line for beer and to use the men's room. At one point the line was probably 50 deep to use the stall and you want to quickly get back to see the action. The WWE puts on a great show and the sound and video production is amazing. Like I said before I don't watch much of the current product but when its live it is really awesome. Other than cards I don't really buy myself much so it was fun to treat myself to really good tickets and it was worth it.

Thanks to everyone who has commented and followed the thread. It has been fun sharing it and after seeing how many wrestling fans exist from all walks of life hopefully a few got some enjoyment out of it.

One thing I plan to do is watch some Stan Hansen matches. I am still blown away at how down to earth and humble he was. On a positive note I spoke with Greg today and he cleared his wrestler guarantees by over 30% so the show was a success.

On Thursday night at dinner and after when we went up to Greg's room to get our stuff signed we talked about slamming Andre. He was the first person to ever do it. It is in this clip.

This thread was really fun to follow. Thanks for sharing. Brings back a lot of memories. It's strange seeing some of these guys so old now.

Man this guy in blue was going crazy all night.

    From Brock's match.

I barely had a voice this morning!
