Beautiful SLQs! It is a nice design, there are a lot of really nice ones out there.

Very nice selection of different looking tones.
I don't know what to do with this series so I just have a few undisturbed XF-ish common dates that I think are nice to look at. They seem to wear dirt and crust very well.
    It's a beautiful design.

    We're all born MS70. I'm about a Fine 15 right now.

Thank you. There are a lot of abused and dipped out white coins out there. I find it pretty difficult to find examples that are both attractive and affordable. I guess that's like a lot of other series out there too.

Are the golden tone pictures representative of the actual color? Nice coins, one of my favorite series as well.

Yes, no messing with anything. Set white balance before taking photos and did nothing but crop.

I'm glad I dumped most of my SLQs years ago before the bottom dropped out of the market.

What year did you sell them?

I like the 1917 with that toning. Seems like a sharp strike. Even the detail on her toes are quite evident.

What a nice run - thanks for posting!
I've owned most of the dates in the series over the years for 'stock', except the 16, the 20D, and the 23S, but never felt compelled to build a complete set.
I recall some years ago buying most of a set housed in an old Whitman bookshelf album from a dealer friend who got it from an estate. The coins must've been put away a long time ago, and ran the gamut from junky cleaned circs to choice BU pieces, but nearly all had acquired spectacular toning.

Sorry for the tangent. Here's a SLQ to get back on track.

The Type 1 1917-D in my posts is the only raw coin. This Type 1 in all mints was exceedingly well struck when compared with every other date/mm. Even with rub, I agree, the details still pop. I'd call it AU55 to 58.

It was like he was never here. I searched tons of threads I knew he posted and all gone. Only quotes remain.

I'm sure he will rise againfrom the ashes. Like a Phoenix rising elmiracoin will be gracing us will his good will and positive thinking. He's such an upbeat happy go lucky kinda of fellow. Always one to toss a compliment. Alway trying to energize the hobby. And think we were just about to make Elmiracoin head of the Forum Welcomimg committee taking 291fifth's roster spot.

Removing all of his comments is a wise way to discourage future trolling under an alternate account. Think of all that time he wasted posting vitriol, and now there's nothing to show for it. It reminds me of how building owners discourage graffiti tagging.

Looks like others joined EC in the recently erased category. In the future, it's probably a good idea not to quote any portion of such posts, to ensure that nothing remains after the disk cleaning....unless you want a personal remembrance of their brief stint here.
