This year's Spring PNNA has come and gone. This is the region's best show, and its has always quenched my numismatic thirst :)

I was able to attend for a quick three hours late Friday afternoon, apparently after the day's busy time had passed. Everything I experienced was from about 3pm to close, so what others saw/experienced may be completely different than what follows...

First off, this had been the first year a map of the floor had not been provided. The map always helps me navigate through the bourse, but I made do. This was 110% made up by the complimentary copy of the Nor'wester, in a ziploc bag this year. This served as my shopping bag for the show. Big thumbs up here

There seemed to be steady business taking place when I arrived, with a much of it appearing to be wholesaling. (Checkbooks & invoices). The two tables I had to stop at were busy. so I swooped around to see my regular B&M's table and say hello. It was their first year holding a table, and they said they were doing well. Good to hear.

I saw an opening up front and went for it. The main focus for this year was to add silver dimes to a set I have been working on, and this show allowed me to do so. Dealer #1 had a dozen or so to choose from, and I walked away with two at a fair price.

1949D66FbQA - unique toning on this one

1954 66QA I don't see alot of 54's. This fits the bill

I then moved on to dealer#2, who had conveniently just returned to their table. I enjoyed talking with him about today's grading practices, and what the services role should be. Out of the twenty he was offering, I snagged this crisp coin. Its a one point technical upgrade to a coin I have, but it has plenty of eye appeal for me.

1946-s 67 (type1 obverse, trumpet tail S)

By this time, dealers were stacking and packing. I made a quick pass through the rest of the floor to see who was staying the duration. I picked up a neat political pin from Mike P, who had plenty of tokens and interesting exonumia.

Its not exactly a Roosevelt Dime

I stopped by B.U.S.T. to look at some halves, but could not find the right coin in my budget. Picked up a Barber quarter in a conservative Fine. I can see myself doing business at this table in the future..

It was last call by now, so I said hi/bye to the last of the usual suspects, and made the long drive home in the good old Northwest rain.

Anyone else here make it out? I'd love to know how Saturday business was, and what cool coins were on the floor.

At my table Saturday was slow, lots of looking going on but little cash changing hands. Sunday was my best day of the show. I must of shown a 84CC DMPL Morgan 50 times but I still have it .

    Nice report!

Had fun Sat. PM for 2 hours - chatted with a few friends/dealers and missed others as they were busy.

Dropped off 28 Carr creations at ANACS - glad they were there as it saves $$ on shipping.

Nothing on the bourse for me this year but enjoyed looking. Saw 1 Doily and 3 PCGS samples. :D

Seems like a well run show. :+1:

Nice to see a report on the show. I'm glad to hear you made some nice buy's. I had been planning on going to this show for a couple of month's, but alas, my youngest got a high fever and had a bad headache the night before and slept horribly. Day care won't watch them until they have been without a fever for 24 hours and my girlfriend had to work. So I stayed home with my little man to take care of him. He's feeling a lot better now, and I made eBay my coin show for the weekend. PNNA Fall show will be here in Portland in October, so I will be there for that one.

I was only able to go to the show for about 90 minutes on Friday. I wish I would have been able to spend more time there this weekend.

I saw a lot of dealers I hadn't seen before....from further away than before (OR, CA, ID, WA are all usually represented, but I saw many other states represented as well).

Thank you for the show report. I love to read how other people see the shows and also what people are able to get.
The weather sucked on Friday and it took me almost twice as long as normal to get there via the freeways :(

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Nice report and seems you were successful. This was always a good show for me when I lived there.... Cheers, RickO
