From the pic it looks like DDO Die #1.

  • sure theres a glare the We trust is clearly visible times three.
and the spread on In God is excellent in live view.
    thanks anyway.

    Well then, it's either FS-101 (die 1 as I said) or FS-103 (die 3).
    It's not 105 (die 5).
And actually both the dies it may be are scarcer than the quite common FS-105.
And since you apparently already know everything, why bother asking?

  • I'm content with 103. since its clear from my pov like I said the trust is clearly tripled.
You assumed more than I asked. I can pick my own collection I'm looking for advice on
getting some of my coins sold.

Set the coin down. Bring your eye and loop down to the coin. If you don't have steady hands, rest your loop on something that you can raise or lower the height. Playing cards work best. Then bring the mag on your cam to max and, without touching the loop, get the best shot you can without glare from your lamp. Hope this helps!

  • I'll repeat i pad and stereo microscope and sometimes i like the no pix post. it cuts back on the number of guesses when i have a picture specific question sure, but sometimes i only want an educated answer. I do all the guessing. I need to go see an expert.

Is that Kennedy a '64 or a '74? Whatever it is, you do seem to have the DD. :)

I have one or two of those. When I started getting into coins my dad bought them for me from HSN or another tv hawk show. SMF! I told him thanks but never to do that again. Once I showed him eBay going prices vs what he paid the the look on his face was priceless and he said one word.. oops! I'll see if I can find them and get some pics.

    The more you VAM..
  • im putting more pix on a new post

  • thanks so you probably know that coin is brilliant white not yellow green. my am scope was
specifically marketed as a geology inspection scope. but it will zero in on all types ov varieties
and i use wide field eyepieces a 50% mag. reduction. to see the entire coin as a whole. then
zoom in untill the mint mark takes up the whole field. stlii the depth of field very thin and always focusing between high and low features. and I do have an eyepiece digital camera
but its only useable with a pc my ipad not. I'm not educated Just a bit obsessive/compulsive
go with your gut feeling sometimes. I've been re examining some coins for years before they
made sense. I am not the one to ask that Question but I hear its business type with proof rev.
transitional. what do you notice about 1964 kennedy' s huge eye brow?
I forget how but the highest features on rev can end up struck through onto opposire side???
Am i correct? because it sure looks like eagle claws and toes are showing up in his hair above the ear and that eyebrow isnt right. the blob goes all the way down over the eyelid.
funny you mentioned pictures that sms nickel of mine is great in real life. But I just havent
taken a decent picture of its surfaces yet.

@CoinsAndMoreCoins.... That '64 Kennedy with a reverse R.... obviously a counterfeit of some type... I would buy that one (I am building a set of counterfeits) if you choose to sell it. A picture would be good too... Cheers, RickO

I have not heard of any reverse R Kennedy halves until you mentioned it. Obviously not a mint product. Cheers, RickO
