    For those wondering, it's a super rare coin.

    I did notice that, as well as "1 post". :)
    The reason I knew about the rarity is that I've found one of these myself, and remembered that 1944D was special.
    D actually stands for Denver. They were minted in the US during the nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Nearly the entire issue was melted, making it rare. There are plenty of fakes too.

    Here's the coin I found (in 2008). A 1939 in nice shape. They're 0.640 silver.
