I think I'll do the BIN on that one. Make sure I WIN it!
How do you know it is a fake holder?
Lance, different lighting but it's the one on NGC cert lookup.
bob

The real one sold on Heritage november 2013
So what is different about the Coin / Holder in your photo that makes you think its fake vs the real one? Contrack marks, toning, holder, etc. Back up what you say - show the photo of the real one.....
Here is a picture of the real one, rim bump by y in liberty, no depressions by stars, no 3 marks in field in front of Indians mouth and jaw
The tabs on the holder are also too wide.
I really like that NGC look up site...very nice and informative.
Doesn't leave a whole lot of time when you come across a BIN deal and have to make a decision in 30 seconds before the next guy takes a look.
You guys should really add the sellers name when you find fakes.
Wouldn't hurt to have a list of questionable listings.
i've been saying this for years.
listing was nuked by the time i got to it. i also stopped tracking the usernames as there are simply too many and too easy to create new accounts. did it years ago at the pro-level until ebay prevented easy tracking of sellers. the scammers started reporting the honest users harassing them. almost funny if it wasn't so sad. shortly thereafter, feedback names were privatized.
such is life. got over it and moved on. i will report a few when i can and share info.
keep throwing out suggestions/ideas. i look forward to someone coming up with something we haven't already tried/thought of.
where did arizonararecoins go? from a team effort when he was around, we were giving those scammers a run for their money. tough to keep up that pace with such little incentive. they make money doing it, it costs us time, effort and therefore money. at least ebay is better about removing them these days. boy did we go through some frustrating times with ebay not nuking listings, a few times.
i wonder how many posts are in the archives about ebay fakes. 25,000? 50,000? idk, but it is A LOT.
keep up the good work everyone.

Ebay is rife with scammers.... such a shame... I remember years ago... in the early days of ebay... it was a real pleasure to do business there...Now, it is like a minefield.... Cheers, RickO
