Major Error Modern Coins USA vs UK/Canada

Something.that has really made scratch my head lately.
Major DDO 1955 Lincoln cent or the 1972 DDO have huge prices and collectability.
I understand usa coins have a higher collector base however i found (7) major 2010 DDO british 2 pound coins i searched our host and NGC. Zero.. I searched the net and since 2010 only maybe 7 coins shown up. Why would someyhing like this not hit the news, coinbooks, all the hype?
Is this only because its UK and not USA?
I can find out an estimate of how many escaped the mint. You would think in this day and age
It would be minimal.
Any insight would be great.

I think Us coin collectors are a little soft in the head about certain things. The Brits would say wow that looks great but no I'm not paying any extra for it. They probably aren't paying up for MS 70 moderns either.
It's hard to see in the pic whether the portrait is doubled. I confess I don't really know how the bimetallic coins are struck , is the out ring struck separately from the center?
The portrait has doubling as well as the 3 initials under the bust.
That is certainly significant doubling. Have no idea what the market would be in Britain... try the world coin forum... may be some Brits over there... Cheers, RickO
Ricko,
I did there. I just figured that with the huge amount of knowledge on this side that maybe someone would have a clue to this. Thanks as always
Chris
There are people who collect world errors and to a lesser extent varieties but nothing like the US and in turn US error and variety coins are the surface of the sun compared to the tepid tap water of world. That said, the spread on your coin is quite nice and I bet you could find a buyer without much hassle. What kind of premium, I have no clue.
Chris,
Thank you. Not really going to sell them moreso just was curious as to why after 7 years these are so under reported. I had heard british collectors didnt really care for errors. Not sure how true it is. Just figured something this blstant would have more information out there.
Chris
Well I don't know how scarce they are but demand sure isn't anything like any US coin with that kind of spread
