Updated Apr. 17th..................grade is in........NGC AU53.

Probably going to a US TPG soon.

Possible details grade due to the small area of chatter marks on the neck.

If it doesn't detail grade, I'm thinking easy ef40, possible ef45 and a long shot at au50.

What do you say?

I see an AU50 in its future. AU53 or so details and surfaces, but a couple of small, fresh nicks under the date that may or may not make the graders knock it down to 50.

Au is what I see the small nicks are keeping it from a 55 I believe

I'll go net 50. There looks to be some obverse field abrasion/rub in front of Ms Liberty.

    cleaned XF details

Rim ticks and obverse hairlines. Would need better photos. My guess is xf details

The reverse looks damaged or harshly cleaned. If it is not, I am in at AU50.

  • AU, not addressing if any possible issues

I'm in the 45-50 camp. Looks like a nice coin and one I would love to have.

AU-50, even if it does come back in a "details" holder, it is a semi-key date worth having put into a PCGS holder. Worth a shot!

Super shot at AU'ish 55 or so (by a few points either way). You know who could nail it down exactly? (Three guesses and the first two don't count!)
