More Priorities Getting lost?

I recently had a priority shipment get mis-routed nearby, it shows as "forwarded" in tracking, weeks overdue. I spoke with a major local dealer who had a $6500 plus shipment to Florida get delayed for weeks, finally it shows up with a little ding in the box, like it fell off the conveyor belt. He had already gotten his insurance claim honored when it showed up at NGC. Is anyone else seeing more lost or delayed parcels?

well I'm waiting for an ebay item now that is showing as out for delivery in a town I don't live anywhere near , I'm crossing my fingers
Had you called that PO, they may have been able to contact the carrier and had the delivery aborted.
.
I just noticed today , the PO closed at noon . I have it on good authority they don't exactly linger around after the lock the doors
Mine closes at noon on Saturday too, but the last truck leaves at 6 pm so there's someone around. Of course you'd need to call before noon if possible. If they put the tracking # into their internal tracking system it should show what the true delivery address is if the mailing label was generated online with Click N Ship, stamps.com, eBay, etc. If it was a handwritten addy with tracking purchased at the window, then probably not. Call first thing Monday morning and have them retrieve the package IF it got delivered.
This surprises me....It must be because our membership is so large, but I just am amazed at how many 'lost' priority shipments etc. seem to happen. Of course, with the millions of pieces the Post Office handles every day, this is very small - however, extremely upsetting to the parties involved. Cheers, RickO
12 scans later mine showed up , it was coming from less than 100 miles away but it traveled about 400 to get here.
A nice toned canadian prooflike set for not a lot over melt after shipping an ebay bucks
I shipped an $800 plus parcel of raw coins, esoteric commemoratives, better date coins, etc. to FL for grading. Parcel shows as "forwarded" locally. No tracking in 3 weeks. I filed several online reports including a claim for the full amount of what is missing. They sent me a check for $15 plus shipping. I followed up with a counter claim with their St. Louis facility.
