Want to Buy: Barber Dimes: PCGS 58 - Misc. Dates

MFHMFH Posts: 11,720 ✭✭✭✭

My Barber Dime AU 58 set is almost complete.
Just need these PCGS AU 58 coins.

Prefer moderately toned coins - but off white is ok too.

The AU 58 Dimes I'm looking for are: , 1895-P, 1895-O,
1896-P, 1896-O , 1897-P , 1897-O , 1897-S , 1898-S, 1900-O ,
1901-O , 1901-S , 1903-S , 1904-P , 1905-O , 1905-O Micro O ,
1906-D , 1906-O , 1907-O , 1909-D , 1910-D , 1913-S , 1915-P, 1915-S

I have these dates in either AU 55 or in MS...I would like to complete the AU 58 set before I
finish the MS set.

PM me with what you have and what you need for them.

Thanks.

Edited : 5/6/17: Added a 1902-O in PCGS AU 58 - CAC

I received an email from Heritage - seems there is another collector who is interested in buying
one of my Proof Dimes... the 1915 in PC PR 64 CAM.... and has offered me a handsome profit yet
I have no desire to sell until I have finished the set.

I'm still looking for the OP's AU 58 Dimes....

Well.... I found two AU 58's I needed - and two duplicate AU 58's I really like.
No mention as yet as to what I have found - I need to see how things work out.

but am so "AU 58 Starved", I'm snapping up everything I can find that is wholesome.

    I amended my OP, as I located one of the 58's I wanted - 1902-O Dime - PCGS AU 58 w/ CAC.
The other Dime I really wanted was a 1905-O in PCGS 58 CAC - and was out bid by $10... :'(

Although I didn't have these on a list, I picked up some choice others:
Great Collections Auction: Sunday, April 30, 2017

1893-O PCGS 58 CAC - Have another in 58, but not CAC
1900-Phila - PCGS 58 - target toned ( look at the Mega Thread for images )...which goes to CAC : EDIT:
    ... the 1900-P Dime in AU 58 once belonged to me - :D - I thought I recognized the look.... my bad !! B)

Sorry, the only duplicates I have are an '07 and '13 Philly PC 58. Common dates.

I do have a 1904 PC 58 on it's way back to me from the grading room, but it's not for sale. I have a bunch of 55's as well; the 58's are a lot more difficult to find.

    I love them Barber Halves.....

I appreciate your efforts. Like I've been saying the 58's are a tough nut to locate.
Let alone with a CAC stamp of approval.... :o

Thanks for the PM's & messages from fellow Barber Dime collector,
Dr. Peter Shireman. Nice coins recently graded, just that I have those
dates already in my AU 58 collection.

Anyone else have any duplicate AU 58's from the OP list ?
Thanks for any help you might be able to give !

Mike - I have a raw 93P with attractive moderate toning that I believe is a legit 58.
Can price it reasonably and will send on approval if you are interested.

    Tim,

I just received a wonderful, raw, 1893 Dime from Walkerguy21D, and need to study it for a bit.

Too much going on here for me to make a snap decision, and I do like it very much. Another
few hours should make the decision for me. I'm liking the coin, now, all I want to hear from
our hosts that it's a 58. I'm more than likely going to submit it. Normally a coin like this ( non-
Key date ) I would choose Economy. In this case, I'll submit "Regular Service" - which takes a
    couple of weeks, not months.

I need to shake up a few more raw coins to make the submission worthwhile.
