there has been some sporadic random commentary on this but i'm really not certain what would be good search criteria for it to find and go back and read. not to stir up anything of course but more for just fyi.
i will say i understand people's desire to comment, agree, disagree etc and it seems like no one here may care about important issues but as pcgs as stated and as i have agreed with them, this is NOT the place for things too far outside numismatics. it JUST DOESN"T WORK unfortunately. almost any thread that veers outside the stream too far gets deleted, locked or someone gets banned. being passionate is one thing but not being able to pull back the reins is another. this should be a safe place. ☮️
edited to add: idk if the bans are permanent or temporary to give everyone a chance to cool down whether conflicting with other members and/or the mods.
I will tell you who is killing it on SM. Longtime forum member @SethChandler ! He has a great marketing program for his Witter Coins on Instagram. I log on over there just to see what he is up to...and my kids, too.
I have done pretty well on Instagram with my coin account PillarsandPortraits. I’ve found many like minded collectors, sold some high value coins and bought a few as well.

for those wanting a simple easy solution to stripping out the data, on windows 10, if you:
right click an image,
go to properties,
then the detail tab, at the bottom you will probably see remove properties etc,
click that and you will see "create a copy with all possible properties removed",
then click ok and you will have a safer version to share, whereas i think images may come with your lat and long etc data so someone can pinpoint precisely where you took the image. fwiw
i did it before sharing a couple images earlier just to see if i could get in the hang of doing it. (there are bulk options to do the same thing for security)

just a ttt since i haven't seen a thread on this for a while and viewing the random friday pic thread got me thinking.
my first thought was how fun the thread was, then the exif paranoid side of me kicked in. fwiw
i just used this method on some pics i'm gonna post and once you do it a couple times. SUPER easy.
