Todays finds and a question

So I went dime shopping today and this is what I picked up with a few other Roosevelt Silver dimes for my album I'm putting together so here's the pictures let me know what you think. The last picture is a Canadian quarter I got in my change at Wal-Mart. It looks different and I looked on eBay and didn't see many but some I seen said sterling silver so are all of these 2000 quarters sterling?

Your 2000 Canada quarter is made out of nickel and was the month of January and they called it 'pride'. They had a different design for every month that year. They made some in silver and some were colorized, but yours is a regular strike for circulation. Some nice looking dimes.
Thanks for the info on the quarter. How can you tell the ones made of silver
Try the 'ring' test...drop it on a hard surface (i.e. granite counter top) and silver will 'ring' as opposed to a dull click or thud.... Cheers, RickO
Canada uses 100% nickel in their coinage, not an alloy mix. This means you can pick it up with a magnet, if it is the nickel version.
Dang a magnet did stick to it
Canada stopped minting sterling ie .925 coins in 1920.
All coins minted from 1920-1966 are .800 fine
Then all coins minted in 1967 are .500 fine
Then some coins minted in 1968 are .500 fine, but the rest are pure nickel until ca. 2002 when they went rolled steel.
