A Recap on my 1966 SMS Jefferson w/better pics.
Here, I hope are better blackened fields for the '66 Nickel. Are they better to determine if Cameo or not? Thanks guys!-joey ![]()

I REALLY like that coin!
......and if I were you I'd like it whether or not the boys see it as a CAM/DCAM or whatever....
Looks deep enough to DCAM but the blue fields will kill it.
I'd give it a quick diluted dip and see what she looks like afterwards...rinse with distilled water and use wife's hair dryer.
Thank you! Should I use acetone? or Mineral Spirit?

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I've had success with just regular dip, MS 70, Jewel Luster, or whatever, diluted with distilled water--I'd try 25%dip/75% water, see what happens, if nothing, mix stronger.
But dip it quick and be sure to rinse well or else you'll get tan spots after a while. I doubt acetone would do anything but if you want to do that first it wouldn't hurt anything.
Looks like a close cam but I doubt it.
I think the obverse will carry it, but what do I know?
They can be rather arbitrary on the CAM designation......
From the pictures, I would say borderline CAM.... I know that in hand it is probably better, so if you are looking for a CAM, it may be worth a try... Be really careful if you do the above dipping, and super rinse it ....pure alcohol followed by distilled water..... gentle, warm air dry. I would not even try a dip myself.... send it in, if it does not get CAM...then maybe try it. Cheers, RickO
it will probably be given the "Cameo" designation and I would not dip it.
I see no problems with a submission as is. Cameo
