Great Reference Book - "The Silver Coins of Massachusetts" by Christopher J. Salmon

It's been out for a while (published in 2010 I believe), but I just ordered a copy and had it arrive today. I haven't had a chance to read more than the first couple sections and thumb through the rest, but this looks like an amazing reference for Massachusetts silver. It's a fairly large book...coffee table size and almost 300 pages with fantastic pictures for variety identification. Here's a link to where I got it (http://numismatics.org/store/masssilver/)...$24.98 is a steal if you ask me. I hope to add a Pine Tree to my collection in the not too distant future and this book makes me want to do that even more now. If you've got any interest in the series, you might give this book a look.

I found the sections on rocker press usage to be quite interesting.
And, yes, you got a good deal. I recall paying multiples of what you paid.

More good references are Sydney Noe's books.

I purchased a copy of this wonderful book when it was first released. Like @Sonorandesertrat , I paid multiples of the $24.95 price that you paid. It was worth every cent! I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in Mass. silver.

And I do like Pine Tree Shillings!
