Grading company holders--who were the designers?

I'm curious if there is a back story to the current holders of the four main grading services? PCGS, NGC, Anacs and Icg? It seems that PCGS has the most aesthetic holder, while the current NGC prong holder is not attractive, while the old Anacs holder was popular. The Icg holder also seems to have gotten worse from their front certification holder.

Likely a plastics engineer...and most likely done as a functional, as opposed to aesthetics, design. Molding is a profession in itself and when designing such for clarity (as these need to be) many things are to be considered.... i.e. material formula, mold design, temperatures, casting time, handling and final treatment. (I have worked with plastics molding processes for many years) Cheers, RickO
But why did PCGS select one design, while NGC chose the pronged one?
There is nothing I've found in the patent records beyond the shell itself.

I hated the NGC prong holder at first, but it's now my favorite holder.
It just sucks for me to shoot coins in their holders. I am not a very skilled photographer, and am clumsy and not tech-savvy.
@logger7 ...."But why did PCGS select one design, while NGC chose the pronged one?"
They are two different companies...different people.... It is the same in other industries... each thinks they have the best.... Cheers, RickO
Out of all of them that I have seen, I really liked the old ANACS White holders. Second would be the PCGS solid gasket holders or any generation. I just don't care for the fingers, prongs, edge view, or whatever the buzz words are, of present day PCGS holders.

In light of all the discussions here about counterfeit TPG capsules, I would have expected the OP to understand what is critical proprietary information.

I was just speaking of the aesthetics and what brainiac was behind the NGC prong holder? It just doesn't stand a classic or modern aesthetics standard like the PCGS holder does.
