Roman was very kind to alert me to this very difficult to find Mexico City 8 reales when it appeared on eBay. This one is from the transition year of 1760 when Charles III acceded to the Spanish throne after the death of his half-brother Ferdinand VI. It's even more of a transitional issue due to the use of a FERDND VI die recut with CAROLVS III. Although it could be sent in to our host for proper attribution and unique in the census, it really needs to join the other 24 pillar dollars in my Charles III set ATS. Thanks again Roman!
