Advice for Coin Convention Organizers

Before you print up several thousand copies of the directions to make a room reservation, I suggest you actually try calling that number and making a room reservation. It may save your organization some money and good will.

Also, if that hotel won't take reservations online, think about finding a different hotel, or at least negotiate for a "member irritation" discount.

Sounds like somebody didn't do their homework. I'm sure it was all very well intentioned. Stuff happens.

Good point... this is one area where our Navy Reunion committee excels... the selected hotel venue is always well researched and the prior groundwork has been impeccable. They even make provisions for 'mail ahead packages' to be stored prior to the event. Makes things really nice... Cheers, RickO
