GTG on Some Toned Nickels I Just Had Graded

Here's a fun group of nickels I decided to throw into a recent submission to our hosts. I knew that Phil would be able to capture the colors better than I ever could, and I was right. Would love to see some GTGs from our resident Jefferson & Buffalo experts here, as I don't mind admitting I was waaaaay off on one of them, though neither series is one that I generally pursue much. Enjoy!

Always looking for tougher PSA 10's of Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, Mookie Betts, Francisco Lindor, and Mike Trout.

The Buffalo is amazing. They look about 65, 66 & 67---in that order.

    66, 65, 65

With a bit of concern toward the green splotch on the 2nd coin's reverse, next to the "U".

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

FWIW, all of these guesses so far are basically along the lines of what I myself expected when I submitted these coins. Lets just say say that so far, everyone has been just as far off as I was on one of them in particular. Ill post the grades later tonight. Appreciate all the participation. This really is quite interesting for me. I know its tough to grade a coin by photos, but IMHO Phil basically nailed all three of these and the TrueViews are quite representative of the look in hand.

I had to go to coin-facts and blowup pic to max size to see why they would put at AU - sorry for blowing your GTG -

I know we try and grade from pictures here, but combine that with toning and it becomes infinitely more difficult.

Well the grades from our hosts were as follows:

    1. 1956 Jefferson - MS 64
    2. 1940 D Jefferson - AU 58
    3. 1913 T1 Buffalo - MS 64

As I said in the OP, I am far from an expert on either series, and this was actually the first time Id ever submitted a Jefferson nickel before in at least 50+ prior submissions. That said I was expecting more like 65, 65, 65 with the 56 Jeff maybe being a 66 and the 40 D maybe going FS. I still can't quite figure how the 40 D isn't considered by our hosts to be uncirculated, but at the end of the day its' all good. At least it's now by far the coolest coin I own that's worth $1.00 in Coinfacts

They must have net graded the 40 d due to the verdigris spot in EPU. Funny, I didn't notice it before you posted the grade.
