Hello everyone
I thought about opening live but I couldn't wait.I got 2 Brinks rolls from the bank today. Another person had ordered them but changed their mind.I didn't get any silver ones,bummer,but I did get a really clean brilliant 1971.
1971

While searching the bicentennials I found an unusual one that is slightly larger diameter than the other ones.It has a couple pewter like aqua color corrosion spots on it.It was the only one larger and isn't an S mint.Anyone have any ideas as to why it would be bigger?
Bicentennial Really no good way to scan it to show the difference.

from that image, i have no idea.
i see a sharp rim and reeds.
a side-by-side is necessary imo.
use acetone with or without q-tip. well ventilated area.

@1630Boston Thank you.

@LanceNewmanOCC It's hard to get 2 to line up perfectly on the scanner.The difference is slight.While sitting below another half you can see the reed line all the way around while looking directly over it.It's only slight but I can't figure out why.

30.61 mm and i dont know the official variance but some is to be expected.
thickness and weight?
1982 and after show 30.56 mm. fwiw.

The Aqua spots look like acid from gold / silver testers
Compare dimensions... go to the Redbook to check what they should be...then let us know what you have. Also, those apparent corrosion spots are nasty... even if you remove them, will likely be surface damage.
Welcome aboard bigzestee.... Cheers, RickO
@ricko Thanks. I checked the weight and it was 11.510 grams and I don't have a gauge tool.I guess someone must have tested it cause of it weighing what the silver ones do.Some others have the same colored spots but all weigh less.
I got 2 more rolls yesterday and one was a complete bicentennial D mark roll.The other roll had a couple potential silver 71d variations.I did the tissue test and 2 for sure passed.Any other ways to tell the error ones?

cant help with diameter/weight variance outside the specs from this thread w/o seeing better image comp.

@LanceNewmanOCC Thanks for the info.
