there is a 1 oz. hand poured Foster ingot from the Comstock mine on ebay with 3 days to go....current bid is $227.50

The seller has quite an assortment of 'scarce' bars.
I own 4 of those....there are 2 types...the rectangular one you see on ebay listing...the more rare version is more of a dollop of silver than an ingot...took me about 3 years to acquire 6 of them
these ingots were minted in 1969-70

The 1 oz bar below I imagine is a Foster bar. Its poured but lacks the Comstock Mines imprint.

That's a VERY cool ingot!
Not far from where I live in the Sierra Mountains on the other side of the state line in Nevada is Virginia City a place often visited by my father and I and now my family and I, my son, my daughter still love to go there these days. A LOT of history attached to this old town including "The saga of the Comstock load." Mark Twain was the editor of the newspaper too. Tons of silver mined outta that area thus the Carson City mint was built so not to have to carry all a that silver overland. A very fun place to visit
