Boeing Employees Coin Club show

This weekend is the Boeing Show in Kent, Washington :)

Who's making the trek? What are you hunting for?

I've enjoyed the show the past two years, and plan to do the same again this year. I'll be hunting for Roosevelts to add to my set. Maybe I can bring one home.

    So I'll second ricko.
A few reports will be welcome..
I heard from a friend on the floor and had to report I'm down with a vicious bug I picked up, presumably, while traveling last week.
Other wise I would NOT be missing this show.

This was one of the better Boeing shows in years, imho.
Got there an hour after opening and, not only was the main parking lot full (as usual), but the overflow was also pretty packed.

A lot of new dealers...which meant a lot of new coins to look at. There were new dealers from local, from Oregon, and from Idaho, that I talked to.

Got to spend quality time with Seattleslammer. Always great chatting with the locals and he has such a great eye for eye-appealing coins.

Saw a couple slabbed (NGC) "Good for" tokens. I had NEVER seen or heard of these before. Pretty cool looking

I picked up a lowly PR62BN IHC with some toning, in a date we were missing. Had some close calls on a few other coins, but, at the end of the day, prices are still up there a bit and, as SS says, I'm a miser

Overall, I have purchased more at previous Boeing shows, but I haven't seen one as full of people or dealers as this one.

There is usually only 1 dealer with early copper. Today, there were no less than 3. Raw AND slabbed EAC. There was only 1 coin I could have used, but it was a lower grade than I want to get, but it was nice (a GD04 PCGS 1802/0 1/2c....I'd prefer paying a bit more and get a nice vg08 minimum).

A lot of OGHs in the cases today. Not just in 1 or 2 of the same, musty, dealer cases they normally are. Only saw 1 dealer with doilies...same doilies I have seen him have for awhile.

Again, nice show and, to me, it seemed better than it has for at least 3-4 years. Hope the dealers thought so too.

Hey SS. Yes made it out Saturday mid morning, and was surprised at the turnout. As Bochiman said, a better show than years past. Most dealers I spoke with were optimistic and were "having a good show".

There were plenty of new coins to see, which is always nice. A collector took a table for the first time, and had some attractive coins out. Super nice guy with a couple of old holder toned gems for the taking. Hope he does well.

I spent some time looking at another dealers stock of copper. He gave me a small intro into Conder tokens. Couldn't find the right Cent for type, so I picked up an LS dime instead.

Walked the rest of the floor and said hi to fellow collectors, club members and the regular dealers. Had a good day overall looking and talking coins. Only made a couple of small buys for myself, but definitely had a good time.

Grabbed a 2017 Panda, wood nickel, and elongated cent for the misses, and called it a day.

    My total haul:

Edited to add: @Bochiman , I think I know which Doilies you refer to (O-mint Morgans?), but I did see a silver commem in a Doilie. Very possible that it was a California Jubilee.

Kc, excellent thanks for the pics and update. Maybe I'll catch you next time; or at PNNA around Spring.

Could be. Revick (West Coast Coins) had a Pilgrim in the doily holder, along with the morgans....and a merc....and a buff nickel.
