I have a great deal of respect for one of Connecticut's founding fathers. He was responsible for the gold clause in the Constitution, possibly spurred by the hyperinflation of the 1780s with all the Continentals that were debased after the Revolutionary War. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Sherman http://home.hiwaay.net/~becraft/MONEYbrief.html
A local inn named after this patriot is due to close soon. Anyone here have thoughts on his historical significance?
