    Assuming that the size checks out and it is not deemed minsize or trimmed, then I do not personally think that amount of edge wear will get you a 5. Maybe a 4 though.

    and may not get a grade at all if that small pin hole* turns out to be just that.

    • in the middle of the stain under "okla." on the back and just above micks eyebrow on the front.

    I see what you're referring to on the back, but that seems it would place the "hole" on the front near the bill of his cap or on the forehead. I don't see it. Yet.

    I think you are right Travis. I measured it out and that mark on the back would be equivalent to being on Mick's forehead on the front.

    Nice card looks like a 5

    Collecting Clemente master (#6) and basic PSA registry sets, Hank Aaron master and basic sets, Mantle oddball issues, 1970's mega decade HOFs, 1967 Topps pin ups, and high grade Topps Clemente and Aaron. Numerous transactions with over 100 board members.

    This thread is another example of why grading a card via scan is a perilous pursuit.

    If Christmas comes early, because thats a friggin gift 5 on any card, let alone a Mantle...unless it was perforated
