XF - AU Barber Halves at Heritage Auction Open Bidding on 01-22-2017 - Closes on 01-31-2017

MFH

I have decided to change my Half Dollar collection from VF/XF/AU to
AU 58 CAC - and as a result, a large group of my XF/AU coins have been
sold to a friend for his sons' set. I believe he bought 22 coins - all but two
were CAC.

The remainder of the collection is now with Heritage. Two coins, an 1896-O [ LOT# 4444 ]
in PCGS XF 40 - and the 1904-S in PCGS 40 [ LOT # 4454 ] - are both scheduled to be auctioned
on Wednesday - January 4th - Session 2 - which starts at 6:00 PM.

1904-S PC 40 Sold for $2,401 plus juice

I'll add their images later this weekend, along with the other dates that
are scheduled to sell off on The Internet Only part of the FUN auctions.

Thanks, Leon - but my 58 came from Glenn Holsonbake - and its an explosion of color on the Reverse.
As much as I liked my 55, I also have a 63 and I just need to weed out a coin here and there.

The Internet Only Auction associated with the FUN Show is scheduled for 12 Noon Sunday the 8th.

Wow. All I can say is wow! There are so many gorgeous coins in there that I am speechless!

The Internet only part of the FUN auction is about to focus on
my Halves - in about a hundred lots - and yes, it's great anticipation
that I await. Keeping my fingers crossed that I come out unscathed.

The 1896-O went smoothly - I actually made a couple of bucks - but -
I got my head handed to me on the 04-S. C'est la vie.

Really like the 03-S and the 05-P. Wonderful original problem free coins. Lots of other keepers also. Hopefully you'll do well. Seems the market is still holding well on the original stuff. Couple of my bids are still holding well at this time

Auction went off very smoothly. There was a run on for a few coins - overall,
my estimate was quite low - and the results were 13.75% higher than I expected.
I have as yet determined what my actual costs vs sale price amounted to.

Thanks for bidding. One bidder - who bid on and won my 1892-O Half in PCGS 50 -
was a No- Pay .... and the coin was returned to me. A word to the wise, don't bid if
you have no intention of going thru with the bidding process.
