Yep - I used the forelock hair, relative to the T and the Y....and actually Lance I think
you taught me those attributes that saved me a bunch of $ a long time ago!
I agree that it is not a 1799 due to the T over hair
position.
Not that it means anything but I believe it is a 1798
S-172 with a obv. rim break right of "Y" and the rev.
fits.

Without an in hand inspection to confirm, or familiarity with the cataloger's ability to be accurate - no way.

Can't tell from those pics, most likely "not".
Downloaded pic and blew it up. The last number sure looks like a 9,so it is "likely" a 99. Best to hand inspect and/or a good return policy.
Yes you can tell - Definitely not a 1799.
To add, I did not enlarge it or even look at the date.
The question mark next to the date raises a few concerns for me
Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb, Ricko
Bad transactions with : nobody to date
Not even close. Look at the position of the hair curls under ER in LIBERTY. First is auction coin. Second is real 1799.

Based on pictures, no way I would even consider the coin. Cheers, RickO
