What a way to end the year (read this)

PTVETTERPTVETTER Posts: 6,015 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have been working on my Mercury dime set for years and still working on this set.
It has been over 4 years since I have been able to fill a hole and let me tell you this.
I felt like a kid filling a hole in a set. What a feeling, I feel so much like a kid tonight.
Again Thanks to both VAM44 and My Wife.
Holy Cow Batman I feel great!

    26-S. Tough date.

I have a set of VG-F12 Mercs pulled from circulation as a child. It was always hard to find "S" coins on the east coast where I grew up, and I never did find one of those.

    I know you're thrilled. Congrats!

What a great way to finish off the year, or the last 4 years! Congrats!

After a fruitful 2015, I wasn't able to fill any holes in 2016 so had to add to other collections.

Well done, congrats! In MS FB, the 1926-S is the TRUE KEY to the series and is a real value buy in comparison to the 16-D. Nice 63FB-65FB examples are tough to find and exactly where I would set my sights. I did all the research and posted it in June of 2012. Feel free to check it out here:

Pat, I'm happy for you!!! :)

you were perhaps my first Forum contact when I joined around 2002. I remember trying to meet you and driving from Cleveland to Pittsburgh to attend a show.......................only to discover that you were at Brookpark!! that was back when the forum seemed to be full of guys talking about "Fishing Lures" and I was really confused. we don't seem to hear much about Mercs anymore.

post a picture if you can, or even a link to your fine set.
