GTG $2 1/2 Indian

I know it's tough to accurately grade from my typical poor photos but what grade range comes to mind?
It's in a small Anacs holder that was part of a 150+ submission in the early 90s.. I've sent in about 50-60 to Pcgs and approx. 20% have upgraded and 2 down graded.
Anacs are not as liquid and limits where I can sell them to basically ebay or Great Collections. A number that remain are generic lower grade MS gold type ($5 Lib, $10 Lib, and $10 Indian) where the spread from 61-63 is close and sometimes less than cost of grading.
What do sellers recommend on MS 61-63? Is it worth getting crossing that type of coin?

Looks 62 to me.
63 or so, strike, luster; marks are the only problem.
I say MS62, but I bet old anacs said 61 or so. I would prefer the coin in the old anacs holder, and I collect these.

Looks 63ish. Just keep it in the ANACS holder is my guess as the price spread is narrow. I like the old small holders.

Looks 63+/64 to me.
Well guys, looks like everyone had the grade surrounded by one grade, even with an image that I admit "ain't good"

The price spread from 61 to 62 is approx. $30 and from 62 to 63 is perhaps $50.
I've never dealt with Great Collections but that is probably my best choice
I guessed 63. Certainly a nice little coin.
I'd have guessed 61. Next time, wait a bit longer before posting grade so the evening crowd can have a little fun....
As far as the coin pictured goes, I think it's undergraded by at least a point, more likely 1.5 points.
Coins you have in the smaller ANACS that are undergraded like that one, if you are looking to sell, I would crack out, send to GC raw, and they will send to PCGS. Grading is cheap through them, and you don't have to pay anything up front except postage to GC.
The coins in the smaller ANACS that are graded accurately by today's standards, I would leave in the holder because there is a common perception that those coins from that era are consistently undergraded by today's standards.
Let the buyers think that.
Perceived increase in grade is better than a maxed out current holder.
That is a nice 62 coin!
That's a no brainer 62/63 and more than likely a 63 today. If it was in the old ANACS gold foil reverse holder I'd say leave it be. But with obverse bar code it's probably not the more desirable hologram reverse holder. ANACS gold tends to trade a grade lower than it is...unless a blatant under-grade. In PCGS/NGC holders 62 is $365, 63 is $415, and 63 CAC is $440. If you don't get the 63 you're burning money.
The old Anacs small holder has no grading guarantee, and though some of them are lock upgrades, there is only a guarantee of authenticity. They don't cross them into their "gold" holders, but instead the "blue" holder unless you want them re-graded,
My favorite coin.
The pictures are blurry so it is hard to tell, but I'll go with 63 (but 62 or 64 isn't out of the question)
Nice coin... I would have guessed 62.... this is one of my favorite coin designs...If you are selling, why not try the BST.
Cheers, RickO
It does appear to be a nice 62.
