Whoa, I think I just hit something big

Just received my psa submission back and was ecstatic to hit a 1974 Topps #1 All-Time HR King Hank Aaron PSA 9

It is a dead centered beauty too. There are no examples of a Psa 9 in eBay (current or completed listings)

Anyone have any idea what kind of value this card might have?

Congrats on the PSA 9. If that thing is dead-centered you have a great card that would sell well above VCP. Extremely difficult to get that card with perfect centering.

    What's preventing the 10?

Dang, what he said. Flip a coin and it could have been a 10

L/r centering, slight tilt, left edge toward the top 1/2 keep it from being a 10. As a #1 card in a set with tough centering it is a nice card.

I agree with the above post that while it is a beautiful card, it's a bit short of a "10". I wish you got the ten, as the last one that sold over the summer thru PWCC went for TWENTY- THREE GRAND!!!!!

The last 4-5 comments have been very insightful.

For those that have done this before, would a card like this stand any chance to bump to psa 10 through the review process?

If you feel strongly about doing a review go for it. I agree on the centering which holds it back from being a 10.

Nice results. Great looking card. At a $20k+ potential delta, I'd review it, but most have pointed out why it's in a 9.

    Thanks,

It's a Hank Aaron card, and not a Eric Soderholm card, basically.

With the price difference between the 9 and 10 I'd definitely keep the card and send it in for review a few times a year...never know, it may get that bump one day.

I think the mlbfan2 example is what is commonly known as a South Island Slider.
