In the coin Hobby, on a rainy or boring day, which one in the poll would you most likely be finding yourself doing? While staying at home.

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!

    Searching through rolls

Love the coin roll hunting! It is what brought me back into the game as an adult. Half dollar rolls were so much in the 2009-2013 period before the silver dried up in my area. Hit many a nice box. Dime boxes were also a favorite as the skunk percentage on those was pretty low. Just a great way to pass an evening and finding mercs and the occasional Canadian silver dime always spiced things up.

Searching through collected jars of coins

Definitely searching through jars.... cents particularly... have a lot of those... then big ziploc bags of change - i.e. nickles, dimes and quarters. Cheers, RickO

Havent done the roll searching thing in quite some time, but I had a lot of fun pulling Lincoln cent varieties from bank boxes. My best pull was a 1983 DDR which graded MS64RD by PCGS.

If paying for a coin is the hard part, looking at them is the reward, so that is what I do.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Reading up on coins in a coin book

I have quite a few coin books that I have not fully read... always more to learn no matter how much you think you know!

Working on a vanity/hobby showcase website for my favorite coins/medals.

This means photography, working on write ups, and wrestling with the site build. All of these require a bit of research and google-fu as there are some steep learning curves involved.

I finally see someone is "Acid treating" the buffs, like me! How exciting to see that good and meaningful date pop up before your very eyes, huh? I found a few 14d's, 1913d(tp.2), and the KEY, the 1913s tp.2. also, many 1913p.'s(tp.1) without a single drop of acid.

Is it too late to change my answer? Reading this I realized my answer should have been 'surfing the internet in coin related activities'--> checking message boards, checking auctions, checking my favorite seller's websites. Then again, I do that every day.

I don't know if "officially" you can change your answer? but in saying that, sure! It's o.k. with me. LOL I too, have not only "searched rolls" , but also, "Acid treated" buffs. As a matter of fact, on that rainy and boring day, I participated in every activity I posted, but specifically speaking, when it comes down to it. It would be my first answer (searching through rolls) that I would really be doing!
