Should we DUMP the "Buffalo" nickel?

Okay look.
The bison FAMILY is...... Bovidae !!
Yes, BOVIDAE! Like cows and stuff.
Sooooooo.... I propose (in the interest of technical accuracy) that from this day forward, we refer to the nickels minted from 1913-1938 as COW nickels.
Or.... to recognize Black Diamond being a MALE ....bovine..... we could stretch to BULL NICKELS!!!!
What say ye?
Old timey ...."buffalo" coins ?
Or the accurate and soon to be universally termed, BOVINE nickels?
With a tolerance for those who are reluctant to change things to be more correct.
I bet this idea will gain popularity faster than Bitcoin.
That's what I bet!
Let's hear it for** BULL !!!!!**

Tis not.
I muse that billions of electrons have been permanently inconvenienced by this post.
They will never get back the charge the once had without intervention.
I love the Buffalo nickel!!!

William F. Cody will be rolling over in his grave if people start referring to him as Bull Bill.

Bull---t you heard it from here.:)
Yes, we should start calling it the indigenous head nickel. What other coins are commonly known by their reverse?
What would we do about other coins then?
We must bring them into compliance with the proper and accurate terminology.
Only by doing so can we remove more "fun" from coin collecting.
Ummm.......nope.
Topstuff if you want to call them COW nickels you need to first hop underneath and yank on the utter to prove the white stuff is milk.
Hoard the keys.
"Buffalo," an incorrect name that should be "North American Bison," (bison bison) is far too ingrained to change. As for the Indian Cent, we could perhaps call that the "Female Caucasian in Native American headdress" cent. I think that's about as likely as a "Bull" nickel tho "Bull Bison nickel" would certainly be more accurate than Buffalo .
I never herd of cow nickels. Happy the idea is being rebuffed.

Repercussions could extend even to "Cow Bill."
I tried that once. A leg came off.
I see you're point, but let's face it, the cow nickel doesn't sound cool.
Nor does the Bovine nickel.
