1787 Fugio Copper, 8 Pointed Star Variety, 15-Y

Here is a1787 Fugio Copper, 8 Pointed Star Variety (see the reverse), 15-Y.
One of my favorite with its planchet flaws, die cracks, and a clip.
BTW, here is some great info on these: http://www.coins.nd.edu/ColCoin/ColCoinIntros/Fugio.intro.html
Feel free to post your Fugios! Would love to see them!

I'm posting in this thread to bump it to the top in the hope that someone else posts another picture of a Fugio. I wish I could but I don't have a picture of my Fugio.

Great coins, the older the better in (US) numismatics.

@ kaz: Those are some fantastic Fugios!! #One has a ton of meet bones and is in way better grade than the average bear. #Two is the 15-Y and I like it. An attractive copper in that cool 230 year old American copper kind of way. And I like its strong top star. #Three is a way above the average bear Blunt Rays variety. For those of you who do not know the Blunt Rays varieties are much harder to come by. Yours is dynamite! #Four is riding with pack and showing off some super strong die clashing. That is super set early american Fugios!! If you don't mind me

@Rehctelf: That is an awesome 15-Y! The die crack in the south south east is amazing!

    Thanks for sharing!!!

Here is my most recent purchase ... a condition census 1-L (R.6). It is the third most difficult to find of the four "Cross After Date" varieties. Interestingly, the obverse is considered a pattern and the reverse a production strike ;-)
