Who gives PMs during the holidays? I gave gold pans and gold.

Just wondering what your experiences were with doing this.
I gave out 10 gold pans this year. Mostly to the grand kids. I spiked small pill sized bags of fine sand with silver granuals and gold shavings. Yep, I actually shaved small pieces off my first gram of gold and used about an ounce of silver. Don't know how well it will work, but they all know I'm into this so they believe I sent the real stuff. I can only hope they don't miss it all and find some.

I have only given PM's (ASE's) for births in the family...no other coin collectors, so always felt they would not be appreciated... Cheers, RickO
I give a Christmas 1 oz silver round each year to my son...in a hanging capsule to place on the tree and use as an ornament every year. I tell him when he is older and if in need of some cash he can just sell them off ...kinda a little store of value thingie.
Each year's design is different and all are quite nice.
@mariner67
That is a great idea.
Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb
Bad transactions with : nobody to date
Gave out some stocking stuffers for some friends kids. Been doing that for years actually, half oz stuff this year, Aussie Tiger Sharks.
I play grinch and give PMs.......they would rather get video games. Someday, maybe, hopefully....they will thank me.
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
Under $20 each, and I usually give out SAEs. Only SAEs.
Wife likes the idea I started some years back, of giving proof SAEs to family members who have newborns.
For friends, and some family, whom I don't know what to give, it is usually BU SAEs. This year, knowing that too many youths have too many toys and get spoiled, and don't even play with their toys that much, I gave out some SAEs and I think the kids don't notice, yet, but the parents seem to have appreciated it.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
ASE Proofs to the grandkids every Christmas since birth. Kids are too young (6/5/4) to even know what the things are. But, like Bochiman, the parents appreciate it, and are just putting them aside for the future.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Yes, I am that Uncle. Nieces & Nephews get a MS69 ASE of the year they were born every Christmas. Of course they get other gifts too, but I'm still waiting on a genuine "thank you" when they open the certified ASE of their birth year LOL
Hey Uncle POM. Thanks!
I've given many a PM as a gift. Birthdays, marriages, Christmas, any occasion, particularly when you don't want to get up off of a $50 bill or worse. The nice thing about PMs as gifts is you've got $20 into it and they will always remember where and when they got it. To me, it's a good thing.
I added this to my initial message:

I give the grand children a Proof ASE each year
