VG 8, based on the images a reasonable shot at a straight grade...I've seen worse than this straight grade, and nicer than this genny. Like RickO, I think it's fine raw.
I have no skill in grading, particularly 18th century US coins.
I would have opined that this coin would not grade more than FR2 or AG3 at best given the reverse and the barely identifiable 4 of the date 1794 on the obverse.

I'm going VG. These often grade higher than anticipated.
The damage will net a details however.
The reverse could get anything above Good, so I'd say Good Details.
Just a real nice keeper...... I would not bother slabbing/grading that coin, except for a 'self slab'. Cheers, RickO
