"Fully Struck Crossbands"- Finally obtained an item on my numismatic bucket list.

Ever since seeing them posted here from time to time, I've been looking for an original David Hall Numismatic Investment Group flip. At a show yesterday, I found one for a good price containing a 1940 Mercury dime. As if having the flip wasn't enough, the coin is a knockout!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that set you back?

    Nice coin BTW!

I would not mind acquiring one.

That is soooo cool!!! I've never seen one before. I'd love to own one of those. I'm starting to develop an interest in those old holders. I have a really neat ANACS Photo cert in a brown holder. Just too cool.

    That's pretty cool B)

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Maybe CAC will put a gold bean on that flip ;)

PCGS historians, is there a "seamless" transition from these flips to the first PCGS slabs with respect to numbering the holders? The serial number, 1065018, is just below the earliest PCGS slabs, which I think are 108xxxx.
