Regifting?
Hi Guy's, Whenever anybody here on the forum wins, in a Give-away, a coin/coins. How many of us can honestly say they still have it in their collection? or for some reason had given their gift (winnings) to someone else. Either by selling or just handing it over to someone else? As for me, the total Give-aways that I've won are three. So honestly, I only have one still in my collection. To avoid any hard feelings, I will not name the Give-away or the person that I received it from. Thanks guy's for the Give-aways and your heart for giving! It's the thought that counts, right? -joey

I've done five or six giveaways but I've never been lucky enough to win one.
Anyone who won a coin or bullion from me is more than welcome to sell or regift it.

Gifts of collectibles are nearly always a mistake. The recipient either doesn't need what is given or shudders at the thought of just how badly the gift-giver was taken when the item was purchased.
Mighty nice of you to feel that way!

I guess that would be re-gifting.

My kid has won a couple of YN give-aways and he has everything and is very glad to have it.
That's what you call a very "Heartful Regifting"!

I don't enter giveaways, but a couple/few board members have sent me a coin as a gift. Still have them from years ago. They paid shipping AND some paid insurance. That was before board members were in the insurance business.
I recall the Wife (ex) got me a baseball "signed" by Stan Musial (spelling?) Anyway the shop tried the Okey Doke and sold it for top dollar with no certificate. I tried and tried to let it go but ended up I couldn't. WE went and got her/my money back. After a few weeks. Shop guy told her he would get her a certificate. Hmmmm
I can recall three items being given to me or won by me. I have two of the items. The third item I gave away on the trade forum.

There are many collectors who find no problem with "regifting" items that they have received in the past...and you can count me among them. What is yours, is yours to do with whatever you may desire.
