And with her new siblings, the John Payne sterling pint mug, 1774, left, and the James Stamp, 1775, sterling can, right:

And here she sits with some period-correct colonial coinage to make her relevant. Though to be honest, dated, sterling silver artwork of the era seems very appropriate to this numismatist

Very cool and I like the period coins, as well. However, to be completely honest, I wasn't wearing my glasses when I opened the thread and at first glance the second image in your post looked like a sheep and I said to myself "he bought a white sheep!"

The reason I asterisk'd Jacob Marsh. The dealer I bought it from identified it as Marsh. The dealer they bought it from identified it as either Marsh or John Moor (Grimwade 3658).
I personally think it's John Muns (Grimwade 1518). The date of 1770 is correct, and Muns entered his mark in 1753 and 1757--so this piece would fit well.

Grimwade can be tricky as the marks are drawn vs actual marks pictured.
I need a copy!

This is one of my family heirlooms from the Norwegian side of the family. But I only got the top of the tankard! The top is dated 1769 and the coin is from 1733. Wish I knew more about it's history.

An unrelated dealer identified it as John Moore and the hallmarks look mighty similar - same year as well.
