Whats up with the date on this ASE. The best way I can describe it is as a shadow depression of the date above the date. Is that possible?

Mine are bot the same way, with a little doubling on the date too.

I see what you mean. The one I have definitely has the depressions above the date. I don't see any signs of doubling on mine though. I see a couple other little anomalies, as well. The 2 in the date is much closer to the rim than the 0 is. And on mine, I see a little mound inside the circle of the 6. Interesting. Thanks for pointing this out.

Did a reverse of '07 ever get discovered on a regular 2008 bullion ASE? Been tempted to open my box to find out.

I got on the stick and ordered one of these 2016 ASE W's, and finally got my Reagan reverse proof set. I did notice on the product listing page for ASE W that the pictured piece seems to have this same effect. QC sleeping at mint?
