For anyone giving any thought to the statement of " Putting Brady on the Browns" please understand that you could insert everybody's wannabe favorite's Joe Montana or Elway on the Browns as well and they would fail miserably just like Brady would, like it or not it is a team sport and luck has a lot to do with it, Brady had a ton of luck winning 4 Super Bowls and a ton of bad luck losing 2 Super Bowls as well so it's all variable stuff that goes with the territory so we are left with raw numbers in my opinion. Brady has the most wins, 4 Super Bowl wins, 6 Super Bowl appearances, stats upon stats and when you put all those numbers against anyone he comes out on top every time. Yea I'm a Brady & Patriots fanboy but seriously you have to appreciate his accomplishments regardless if you hate the Pats or Brady.

Tom Brady is the greatest of all time at QB. At least if the measuring stick is most wins ever as a QB passing Manning yesterday. I'd like to think he has another 50 or 60 in front of him.

** I would imagine a dominant player today would be dominant 30 years ago. likewise, an older player who was dominant would see the same results today**

this doesn't take into account what I have tried to assert in all the various threads which discuss this topic: the Rules. for the subject player, Tom Brady, if he were playing 50 years ago in the 1960's with the rules in place at that time I believe he be far less effective and have far less of a stellar resume. conversely, since Earl Campbell has been mentioned so frequently, if he were brought forward 40 years I believe he would play like the bigger, stronger brother of Marshawn Lynch.

the carnage left behind Earl from these big DB's trying to roll tackle him would be outstanding!!! can anyone say concussion protocol??

Bo Jackson, the world's greatest living athlete, and the only man to be an All-Star in baseball and All-Pro in football, now has a confession to make.

"If I knew now what I had known back then,'' Jackson tells USA TODAY Sports, "I would have never played football. Never. I wish I had known about all of those head injuries, but no one knew that. And the people that did know that, they wouldn't tell anybody.

"The game has gotten so violent, so rough. We're so much more educated on this CTE stuff, there's no way I would ever allow my kids to play football today.

"Even though I love the sport, I'd smack them in the mouth if they said they wanted to play football.

"I'd tell them, "Play baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, just anything but football.' ''

I agree. This sport is in trouble if they don't start protecting the players even more.. Keets, watching tapes of football in the 50's to 70"s looks like a lot like the Coleco electronic table top football game I used to get every other Christmas compared to today's blistering fast game. You know the one where you lined up all your players and turned the power on and the guys vibrated all over the field and run into each other? I don't know if too many players of the 50's to 70's would make it though a game let alone a season today. They were too slow too small. Physics. Force = Mass * Acceleration or F = ma

If Brady played back in the 50's he might of played 40 years.

Look at the Hogs of the great Redskins run. They would be smaller in size to every division 1 college football offensive line today. Back then they were considered huge. They were compared to the defenses of that period.

As Jackson stated so eloquently," the game has gotten so violent, so rough."

I doubt anyone was bigger or stronger than Buck Buchanan, one
of several Chiefs hall of famers from the late sixties, early seventies time frame.

I am still not a Tom Brady "fan" but the argument against him being the GOAT is harder and harder to make I would say.

I don't think that's exactly the same thing. True the 'Boys haven't made the "Final Four" since 1995, with Mr. Romo QBing during that tenure, but is there one particular moment that he came closest to making the conference title game...and then made a key blunder to blow it? That's the goats I shown did.

So justaconman is saying Charlie Brown is the greatest of all time?
I would problably disagree. Seems like a line drive is always knocking his clothes off.

Believe it or not there was a real life football player named Charlie Brown!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Brown_(wide_receiver)

I imagine in his HS days they teased him and did that whole "AUGHHH!!!!" thing at him (he was never a kicker though)...but he sure got the last laugh when he won a championship for the 'Skins in 1982 (SB XVII)!
