My first BST transaction results
I posted this on BST but did't think people would mind me posting it here also.
Being new here, I just had my first BST transaction.
Things got delayed a little through USPS due to Thanksgiving and Christmas mailings but I must say it was a success.
My dealings were with @MICHAELDIXON and I say he is trustworthy.
The items were shipped upon payment and as described.
Thanks Mike.

Thank you for purchasing the coins!
MD is a good guy and an asset on these forums.
Definitely one of the ones I would trust in a deal.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Thanks for posting this.... I always post successful BST transactions. I believe it is a great way to thank the seller and also to inform other forum members of reliable sources. Cheers, RickO
While most transactions are drama free, once in awhile a BST buyer gets ripped off. As a buyer you can greatly put the odds in your favor of a successful transaction by using some common sense---buy only from a forum member who is an active participant here, who has a fairly high post count, and who has been here a fairly long time. Also, avoid or at least be very wary of those deals that are "too good to be true." If you don't recognize the seller don't be afraid to ask for references.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

In all my time I have yet to do a BST deal, but I wouldn't hesitate to deal with most of the regular members here.

I haven't done to many, but I have had absolutely no problems with those I did, and that was , lordmarcoven, Illini420 and Solid
Steve
Thanks for the information, I had an idea that @lordmarcovan was honest.

Aw, shucks. Thanks, y'all.
FWIW, I will say that in 15 years on the forums and hundreds of transactions with dozens upon dozens of members, I have never had an outright ripoff situation. In all that time, there have been perhaps one or two minor glitches like a lost shipment or a delay (some from my end, some otherwise), but otherwise I absolutely trust practically everybody who's been here for any amount of time. Though I've recently made the CoinTalk forums my new online "home" and am spending a little bit less time here, I still do the majority of my BST transactions and networking here.
Never mind my grumbles about the software platform, old and new. These forums are a truly great community and have totally revolutionized my numismatic life over the last decade and a half, not just in the transactional sense, but more importantly, in the friendships formed.
The BST is a great way to buy coins (and some other items.. once bought a camera there - still have not used it
)... Cheers, RickO
It really is a good place. (This site )
Congrats on popping the proverbial cherry @ the BST.
And for all the stirring of the pot I do, there have been some very prominent people I've dealt with. The place is more a blessing than a curse.

I've done many transactions sometimes into five figures, including some of the posters above - knock on my granite counter - no problems ever.
