They appear to be on a PCGS background similar to, but different than, the TrueView background. They also have shadows added to them, which is more work to have them cropped. I think these are actually photos and not scans.
I like having the slab shots available, but I don't like this as a replacement for the high-res CoinFacts/TrueView shots that have been the standard w/ Secure Plus for awhile now. I hope this will be in addition to those photos, but based on the couple cert numbers posted here, that does not seem to be the case. Sure, you can zoom in a bit on the slab shots, but no where near as nice as the previous shots that came with Secure Plus.
Or, might be some type of standard imaging done outside the U.S. By PCGS.
Persuing choice countermarked coinage on 2 reales.

These are done in the Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai offices as well as the Paris Express and Hong Kong Express service levels. This has replaced the old Secure scans at these locations.

Could this be the beginning of slab scans for all coins?
Scans and all published possibly.
Could be a security issue... but surprised it has not been announced. Cheers, RickO

Maybe from Hong Kong???
So far it appears to be special issues/bullion. I wonder why they haven't announced anything.

If this is the beginning of imaging EVERY slab, then this would be a great counterattack to the ebay seller currently gassing coins in their holders.

These seem to all be bullion.....I wouldn't worry about coins.

Mine also came for overseas, so that may be the unique factor in these. I just thought it was cool that the image was there.
It is not just bullion;
