piece was a pocket piece for a gentleman for over 60yrs. I purchased it @ a farm sale with a lot of other coins. It shows it's wear,Piece is under weight @ 11.2 grams verses 12.5.

That does not look like a pocket piece to my eyes.. way too much detail remaining and not much sign of wear.
That looks like a counterfeit to me.

I should add that it looks like a modern counterfeit, as well.

It doesn't look right to my eyes, either.
Not genuine.

That is way to under weight to be genuine, and the details do not look right either. Pretty sure with what I am seeing, it is certainly a counterfeit.
Looks very mushy to me. Agreed don't think it's real. Date and mint mark look wrong
HAPPY COLLECTING
A pocket piece that was carried for sixty years would have much more wear evident than that. I agree with those who think it is a modern counterfeit.
I'm with TomB and the others - it may have been a pocket piece, AFTER someone outside the mint created it....then simulated wear to try and hide the work.
My first thought was counterfeit as well.
well at least they cleaned it up for you
I'm with the counterfeit crowd.
I agree with the 'counterfeit' label..... no way sixty years in a pocket would leave it in that condition, plus the weight disparity.... Cheers, RickO
The letters and date are clearly misshapen and obviously fake.

Agree with all others here. Fake.
