I found this VF 25 on eBay the other night - good look - the right price -
and this brought back a flood of memories:

I'm not an expert on these, or even an amateur, and I do not know the variety but I would put that in my collection at the correct price for sure. :+1:

Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb

Bad transactions with : nobody to date

    Nice coin!

Why is 1832 your favorite date?

It goes back to 1973 when I flipped to US Stamps - and sold off the majority of
my childhood collection of coins. Included with the other sold items was a certain
1832 VF ( very well could have been this same coin for all I remember ) that was
    lost to me for decades.

As time went by, I kept searching for "my Grandfather's 1832 Quarter ".... I ended up
buying just about every 1832 Quarter I could get my hands on in 1994 to 2005. Liz Coggan
    was a great help locating some beautiful coins. I picked up a half dozen MS ( 62, 63 & 64's )
at auction. All told when things cooled down, I ended up with four (4) rolls, yes, rolls of
1832 Quarters. Most were in VF/XF and XF/AU .... And a roll was in AU 53 to AU 58.
I think I'm an obsessive / compulsive collector. Lol

I sold off a bunch with Liz on consignment and sold off the remainers with Rich Uhrich.
I kept all the MS examples until I needed cash to fund my main collection, Barbers.

I've been tempted to pick up a few more MS examples - but I'm on the brink of selling
off my Barber Halves ( keeping a few choice mementos however ) - and I'm well into
retirement and just don't want to invest serious money any longer. This is supposed to
be a hobby. Not an investment strategy.

I've been concentrating on my V Nickels ( AU 58 / MS & PR ) as well as Barber Dimes
( also in 58, MS and PR) , my Barber Quarters are mostly in 58 - a few dupes in 55 - 65.
I do not have, nor will I have, any of the top three Keys : 96-S, 01-S and 13-S. Not unless
The Lotto Gods smile gently upon me.... o:)
