This 1799 Draped Bust Dollar just arrived today. It's in a PCGS VF-20 old green holder. I believe it's the BB-163, B-10 variety. It's got a little more blue/green and gold than shows up in the pictures...just a real nice original patina. I personally grade the coin VF-27.5 and think it compares favorably to most coins in VF-30 holders (but you know what they say, ownership adds a point or two ). You might recognize this coin from the BST forum as it was purchased from member BustCuds - great seller to work with and great communication. Just wanted to share - comments/feedback both good and bad welcomed.

I'd be proud to own that coin
Nice!
certainly looks a lot better than VF 20
Pcgs may have net graded it down due to the scratch.
When I think of VF 20 I typically think of a flat coin but from the jawline ear area to drapery your coin has more life than flat.
An excellent example.
That white "scratch" in the center of the reverse looks like it's on the holder.

I'd be very happy with that one, a great looking mid grade example.
Love the coin. Bustcuds is a great and easy guy to work with.
For me any US coin with a date starting with 17 would be fun to own including yours. Very nice.
