@USSID18 said: @DoubleJCoins Just asking a question.... Look at @CascadeChris 's 1957-D, it's an MS64. I think you got lucky with that 1955 graded at MS66. JMO What do you think?
I realize this question wasn't directed toward me, but I'll just jump in here and give my opinion. The coin looks like it was shot with soft lighting and this can obscure low detail areas. The eagle's breast feathers are very poorly defined on many WQ issues and this is especially true, in my experience, in the 1950s. There are a few hits on the eagle's body, but overall the obverse is quite clean and the reverse is fine for an MS66. If the coin has very soft luster then I could see it on the lower side of MS66, but if in-hand it has very good luster then it would be a really solid coin.
I have to say, I've gotten a sneaking appreciation for toned clad coins since I've tried to find some raw ones to fill up the Dansco slots (up through 1985 P & D). They are surprisingly hard to find. That '68-D is a pretty one.

While I agree the 1965 is very pretty, if I'm not mistaken, the "first" '65 is also "the second". It's just imaged differently.
Correct. I wanted to show different lighting to get a better feel for the grade. I have it around 66. The in hand look is in between but a very slight shift and the full, both neon & pastel, color spectrums jump out at you.
Here is a dime that was with the same set wrapped in tissue paper in a small yellow pocket envelope. The cent, nickel & half weren't as colorful...
Nice Coins Everyone. Love the clads and the 1950 s/s
For some reason I keep trying to fill in the Regular slots but keep finding varieties. Last year I was so proud to find the 1943 S Raw Trumpet Tail. Graded MS 64 and took me almost 2 years to find one.
Than this coin popped up last week on Ebay.......My first purchase of the New Year and was not positive until I got the coin in hand and all the pup matched once again. This coin will tie 4 others for Top Pop and upgrade the 64 I just made ...............Enjoy Tom
Wow!! When I first looked at it, I looked right past the MM and the lack of Cameo and asked my self, "Why in the world would you post a 1996 Proof Washington?".. Then it dawned on me.. Amazing PL Denver coin...
Beautiful 1934, Tom. It seems to me that the 1934 and 1939 WQs come nicer than any other issues in this series in the 1930s. Anyway, your 1934 might not be a variety like the others you collect, but it is still a Medium Motto for the date, which might be considered (gasp!) a variety.
Here's a tough one that I just got the grade on last night coming in at 66 DCAM, which was an upgrade to my other 1958 DCAM which is a 64 DCAM, but merely a push in the registry with my 67 CAM.

I like that PL 1950-S! I've never seen a PL for that issue, but have owned several 1946-S and 1947-S WQs that were strongly PL. They all have that characteristic die polish that yours features, as well.

That is some extreme color for a 1946-S! Holy Cow! The Mint did not produce mint sets that year, so these are tough to find with that much color.

The toning on it is fairly dark but get some light on it and the colors come alive.
