Coinstar jackpot today!!!

mbogomanmbogoman Posts: 5,194 ✭✭✭✭✭

Had to get a few things at Vons today and I always check the Coinstar reject bin. Today it was full of goodies! I could see the dull shine of silver amongst the clad and copper! Final tally:

$1.77 in common change
1 Canadian quarter
1 Euro coin
1 1960 silver dime
7 slick SLQs!!!!!

Wahoooooooooo!!!!!!!! :p

Nice finds! One note: It seems to be almost everytime, the Silver that's found, 90% of the time it will turn out to be that Roosy Dime! Not to leave out the SLQ's.

Hey forum, Does anyone else get concerned about the economy when older coins show up more often and new coins are seen less?

somewhere I received a 1929 cent in change and stopped seeing new National Park Quarters. I've been searching for the Teddy Roosevelt one and have not seen one.

    Cheers

I still call my accumulation my collection!

Made a trip to coinstar today and found a 1942 wheatie. Nothing like your haul!

Sweet!! I went scoreless on silver for a few years now. Then just the other day, I scored a 1934 Washington out of one. :)

The SLQ find was great even if they were slicks. In the last couple of weeks my finds have dropped off: one Lincoln Memorial cent and one damaged C-N Roosevelt dime. I still have never found a silver quarter.

    All glory is fleeting.

I have not found a silver quarter in a coinstar yet...Rosie's and Canadians yes...and just a zincoln yesterday. Lots of foreign coins... Euro's and middle eastern coins mostly. Cheers, RickO

I found a beat ATB quarter on the PO counter.

If only it were a rock... all carbon... compressed under high, high pressure...

Post a pix of your finds.

The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.
