Opinions please on expectations on FUN auctions

With such a controversial election and questionable future, what do members expect for prices at the upcoming big show.

Ask because I was thinking of consigning (have to decide quickly) to the Heritage Fun Auction but worry that prices for $1000-$15000 (majority would be $1-3000) may be weak. As for myself I was reluctant to pull the trigger at the Baltimore show.

Realize one can only guess

Real issue is that the coin market has been weakening, election result is immaterial. FUN is a good venue to sell if you have quality material, lesser quality offerings can get lost.

If anything the election result should help the coin market. The loser made it clear that she was going to raise taxes on higher income individuals and estates if Congress went along.

The reality is the election results probably will not effect the results of the winter FUN auctions.

One of the best shows of the year for auctioning. People are generally in hopeful moods then and it is a good time to sell.

You are correct. The winter FUN auction is usually a good opportunity to buy and sell.

Exceptional coins should do well. Ordinary coins will probably continue their downward trend. This is a sale that brings out the serious buyers. Do your coins appeal to these serious buyers ... that is the question.

I see the 1942 glass experimental piece has been consigned to the FUN sale.
