My Great Aunt passed today at the age of 101. Born in 1914, she worked alongside my Grandfather at the store where I received so many of my coins early on, as I described in my intro. She also set aside stuff for me that came in in the '80s and '90s, because she knew I was a voracious collector.
I don't have anything with '14 in it, so let's throw up some coins in her honor!
GSAs, OBW rolls, Seated, Walkers. Anything old and Colorado-focused, CO nationals.
Gonna get me a $50 Octagonal someday. Some. Day.

Sorry for your loss.
These are all so great! About a year ago I showed some of my coins to her, because she asked if I still collected them.
Little did she know what I had gotten myself into in the intervening 20 or so years!

I hope I'm vertical at 60. Great Lincoln!

Amazing coin! She was like an extra Grandmother after my Mom's parents passed. My sister and I were really close to her.

I'm sorry for your loss. She lived a good long time and sounds like a wonderful, strong, hard working great aunt.
My thoughts and prayers to your family and loved ones.
She retired in 1995 at 81. My grandfather and grandmother were both 83. It was a family-run business and they loved working (because they did what they loved). Truly lucky.

Only 1914 coin I have is a German one. May she rest in peace...

Condolences, RockyMtnProspector. My dad was born in 1904 and he introduced me to early US coins in 1959. I wish I'd kept the half dime he gave me from his mother, instead of cashing it in for a DC comic book.
Crap...I wish I'd kept the comic book.

100 years too soon, but still a '14:
So sorry for your loss.
My condolences to you and your family. She must have been an amazing woman... Cheers, RickO
She sounds like a great person!
A little different, but these are London hallmarks for 1814-15

These are coins I used to own.
What a wonderful life, to experience a century of events. She must have been
quite a woman.
In our town we recently had a woman of 105 & several in their late 90's.

It's always hard to loose a loved one. Passing the century mark is an achievement!
I'm guessing you intentionally said '14... to include 2014.
Anyway, based on your name, I thought you might enjoy this:

I'm very sorry for your loss. Sounds like she just missed her birthday too.
Lance covered that 14-D cent in a huge way, so here's my 14-D nickel:
She would have been 102 on December 23rd.
