I also think that 1887 cent deserves another look
This 1836/inverted 3 half dime came out of a National Coin album that was sitting in a bank for so many decades that the cover had started to decay. There were many pretty toned coins inside with album-type toning, including my icon coin. PCGS graded all of them, except they called this one QC twice. It's in an NGC MS63 holder right now. The color on the 183/36 is much more vivid than the poor photo suggests, so I can actually understand the QC designation, if one did not know where the coin came from. It falls into the "too good to be true" rainbow target toner category.

Here's a 1901 Indian Head Cent. It got a QC from PCGS.
A couple of years ago these were on eBay and the seller had a lot of them, and yes, people were bidding on them.
