Anyone else getting unsolicited PMs to buy a coin?
![Bochiman](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/2006-SAE-CU-Icon_a.gif)
Got a PM from a member I have never interacted with, about a coin I have never seen in a thread or posted a desire to buy (coin type/year/etc).
Just wondering if I were the only lucky one or if others may have gotten similar?
I recall a few years ago this same thing occurring, when many of us got the PMs to buy, but it was a different ID then.

I have... but it was from an established member and he was offering an item he knew I would be interested in. Transaction went off fine and very happy with the coin. I will, however, watch for others now that you have raised the flag Ron... Thanks, Cheers, RickO
I did not receive any messages. Maybe....you are really special to the person sending it. I am not worthy!
Not here.![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/ip/wjhs6xhvsg2h.gif)

Was it a new member? I've noticed a new, exuberant member, who probably needs to learn a few things about how it works around here.

I've had this happen to me and I've gotten some great deals. It's not really that big of a deal. If you are interested in the coin, you can always ask him to send you the coin so you can examine it before you pay for it. Otherwise, just tell him "Pass" or just ignore his PM.

hey bochiman, you wanna buy some coins?
I get these from time to time and they do not bother me since we are one big happy collecting family here.

Get them all the time and they are always welcome. I've probably sold a half of dozen higher priced coins this way. I have deals with many in place on coins I wasn't ready to part with yet. They will get first shot. I have anniversary dates set up and I always get an email asking if I'm ready.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I've gotten many. Always from some seller who sees an "improvement" that might be made to a registry set.
Lance.
Interesting...seems like "crazyhounddog" is still on a troll bit.....my OP gets a "disagree" from him for some reason....no post, just a disagree.
Some people, I guess.
Back on topic. I don't mind getting coins offered to me, if they make sense. Registry sets, updates, coins I've expressed interest in, etc.
But, coins that don't fit in any of my sets, by a relatively new/not around often member who I have never interacted with.....
Just seems weird.
Steveben - I do want to buy a coin. Matter of fact, I just put an offer in on an earlybird special and will post it once I get it![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)

Troll? I hit the wrong button and now I'm a troll. How judgmental are you. I hit the wrong button. Give me a break.
When that happens, you can simply click it a second time to remove the 'disagree'.
But now he means it!

I'm not in this thing to argue about anything with anyone. I sure hope we can get past this. I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feelings by a simple mistake that since has been removed.
But! To call someone a troll for disagreeing with you is really a problem.
I got a PM from someone I know offering a coin I'd likely be interested in. Responded, but haven't heard anything in several days. Curious.

Nothing recently but have in the past.
It's all good.

I apologize since you say it was an accident. When the new software took place, there were a few folks who went out of their way to "disagree" with more than a few people....for no real reason other than to put disagrees on them. I call that trolling. I seem to recall some from you (they are still there) as well as from 1mike1, eurekagold (who took the time to go back into threads MONTHS old just to put disagrees), jerseycat01 and a few others. Always the same people.
Seems like accidents happen.
End of the day, I don't care about it other than to know that there may be some people out there that just want to "disagree" because they think it is funny or have a problem.
Anyone can disagree with me, and that's fine. Put a comment up and that's even better.![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Again, I look and see how people interact with others here and if they just use "disagree" on someone without the post really leading to a "disagree" it makes me wonder about that person...know what I mean, Vern?

Okay,
But to call me a Troll is a bit much, don't ya think? Lets not call names. Thanks
Perhaps it's best to ignore it, and not let inconsequential things bother you so much in the first place.
Your underwear drawer will thank you for not trying to fill it with knotted britches.
I just call them like I see them. If someone starts showing a pattern, and it is a negative pattern, then, what should I think about that? They don't say anything but they go in a way that looks negative?
Good, or bad, I call them like I see them and get it out in the light. My undies are fine, nice and loose, and not tight![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

I recently got one. It happens 1-2 times per year. Most are asking if I want to buy, but once it was an attractive offer for me to sell... and I did.
Hey now, Here's one I'll agree with.
Not for a long time
Got one today. It was flattering.

It will come. I told the seller I wouldn't post it until I receive it and decide to keep it (from the photos, and the seller being who it is, I have no doubt I will be keeping it).
I will post a thread at that time![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

none here ( as of yet, you never know )
Since I live in a metro area, I got solicited the other day to pay for services with coin or bills.
