I decided to complete my raw set of GEM BU Roosies in a Dansco album recently. It is a minor project that I have been working on casually for years. Many of the Silver Roosie's have toned a beautiful blue and gold in the Dansco since I started a few years ago. I needed about 20 to complete a full set from 1946 to 2005. So at the last 3 shows I have actively searched for the missing coins in my album. I started a few weeks ago at the PAN show in Pittsburgh and have been to two shows in Detroit the last two Sundays. I completed the set minus two coins. These two coins were not to be found in UNC in Pittsburgh or Detroit! Guess the dates.......I will reveal these two toughies later tonight.

Um, my guesses are the 49s & 55p maybe the 96w... or the 82 no P / 68 no S if you're including those
No varieties, just a simple Dansco with one hole for P/D/S of each Business strike coin from 1946 to 2005.
My first thought was 2009, but then I saw your range of 1946-2005. Might they be 1982 and 1983?
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
1950S and maybe a 1949S
I'll say 1952-D and 1960-D

Originally all coins were white. The Dansco is toning them lilac/blue/gold slowly but surely. I believe it took over 5 years to tone this much. I think I started it around 2010.![](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/8d/xy82az25vx9i.jpg)

I have no idea which 2 you need. None are rare. They are probably clad because dealers don't take a lot of those to shows.
I'm anxious to see what 2 they are.....I may have them extra.![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
I'll guess 1949s and 1967. 55p would make sense as well.
55P and 49P are my guesses. 57 and 58P would be a close 2nd guess.
I'll say 67 and 83 d because I'm in the Pittsburgh area and those are the 2 that I am missing.

1983 P and 1983 D is what I am having issues locating!! Good guesses!
I have no idea.... I did not know any of the standard PDS were hard to come by... Cheers, RickO
Due to there being no mint sets in 1982 and 1983, finding these years in unc condition can be tough and or pricey. Where's Cladking when we need him? He could shed some more light on the subject.
I never would have guessed that- I do have the souvenir sets from '82 and '83. The Philadelphia and Denver mint did have packaged mint sets for those mentioned dates but did not include their counterpart. Cladking is expert for question so I'm curious on his feedback too.
P/D let me look I'll get back to you.

PM me your address and I'll have them out to you.

I recently just this year decided to fill a complete Roosevelt Dansco Album. I have about 20-25 dimes so far and no silvers as of late. I ended up getting an album that has 1968-date proofs. No 1950-1967 proofs/SMS in this album which was surprising too me. Anyway my goal was to put into this album absolutely flawless dime with FB. I'm considering buying already graded blast white NGC/PCGS dimes to crack out. It is an incredible time finding really nice flawless specimens to add and it will be worth it over the X amt of years it will take to complete.
My question to you is what are the dimes you are putting into your album (Quality wise) and have any of them been slabbed?
Later, Paul.
Not surprising. Few rolls were saved at time of issue and no mint sets exist, so either they were saved by chance or in a souvenir set, and I doubt anyone would be silly enough to buy a souvenir set just to break those out.
As a few here may remember 1982/3 were very tough years economically. Bad recession, few rolls were put away.
I'd shop on eBay for the coins, they are frequently offered, and sometimes go cheap in auctions. (Sometimes)
I am looking for MS65 give or take a point or two. I have not bought one slab, all were raw. No need for FB examples although many are FB. No dogs or sliders or MS68's, just honest good quality examples. It seems like most UNC Roosies average 64 or 5 anyway. My clads are better overall quality since most are from high quality Mint sets.
Thanks so much for the offer but I ended up ordering a couple on eBay.
